I have a large video (2GB) that i made, the only copy is on this (windows) computer that doesnt have a DVD Burner. how can i get it from This Computer to the Apple that has many DVD burners?

Also, if you are running a router at home (like a Linksys or Netgear cable/dsl router) both will already have the needed IP addresses in the same private network. All you will have to do is configure the network names and set up sharing on the WIndows machine.

Toss the file in a folder on the hard drive to access it easily. Then right click on the folder in windows and set up the sharing.

I believe the Apple side is really easy in that once you open you WIndows machine to sharing, your Mac will search out available resources on the network for you. Its been a while since I did this on a Mac, so I'm a bit rusty on that. Hope this helps!

You can use a USB cable as a network and also a firewire cable if both boxes have firewire. Network connections do not discriminate as long as you can get both machines to accept files in both directions.
