I posted a question earlier re Messenger, but I didn't specify it's Windows Messenger not Yahoo. So, thanks for earlier responses!
I'm using Windows Messenger and am concerned that my conversations are being saved to the hard drive. A friend said he had stumbled across weeks of chat on his hard drive, but when I asked, he couldn't remember where.
Help!

You have to turn on chat history under options. Otherwise it will not keep any history of conversations that you have closed. Messanger keeps a brief history on the open window but only since that window has been open.

no they are not, not unless it automatically saves conversations.
tell him to check his options on MSN messenger and make sure he has not ticked "automatically save conversations"

He must have that ticked on his Tools>Options>Messages.
