You reboot the computer in safe mode (You press F8 when windows is coming up). You then can try to delete the file (assuming that you know it's location)?

Somewheres within your AV program (maybe a help button or a tools button) you should have the ability to send information about the virus to the AV company. The techs can usually create an update that will kill the virus once they know what they're dealing with. Of course, this assumes your AV program is current and you renewed it when it expired.

no no no they got it all wrong sheesh, u need to right click my computer, go to properties, system restore, turn it off with the check mark , its going to tell you that its going to erase all previous restore points, this is ok... then u need to start ur pc in safe mode pressing f8 at start up before windows loads and then rerun ur scanner, avast is a good one to download for this, just download it and put it on ur desktop, if u have question IM me on yahoo... make sure to turn restore back on when u have finished, u can always go to www.safety.live.com and run the full scan for ur pc dont load the av they have its beta, the reason u turn restore off is so that it cannot recreate itself

If you have a windows computer, restart your computer, and when you see it start up again press F8 repeattedly!
this is called SAFE MODE.
re-do your scan then.
if that fails
try an ONLINE remover
