Poor devil has had this computer for round 4 years and she does a load of searching and downloading of music. It is now running real slow because she cant de-frag (or can she?)

I have a HP MX704 monitor. When I try update from net or CD is says failed. Access denied. And the original drivers are also lost. I can't roll back drivers either. It also says access denied.

I am no longer able to empty or delete my bulk mail for 3 days. I have almost 900 messages in my bulk mail now. I have used all the normal ways to delete this bulk mail. Nothing works. How can I fix this so my bulk mail will be deleted.

Before you actually got on the internet...
When your only exposure to the internet was hearing people pass the word around and seeing www and .com on billboards...

My very first hypothesis on this question, when I was around 7 years old, was something like a combination of Wikipedia, Project Gutenberg, and Yahoo Answers.

In other words...
1. The largest encyclopaedia ever.
2. A digital library full of digital books.
3. A place where you can get instant answers from people all around the world.

Ah, and I also spent hours staring at screenshots of AOL 2.0 and MSN 1.0 and wondering "which is the larger internet?" Haha!

Well, the early internet (I first got on in 1998) didn't turn out to be as organised as I thought it'd be! It was random, haphazard, grass-roots... but also had much more variety than I expected!

So share your first baby thoughts on the internet!

ok i have this program that i downloaded a emulator its like something u play games with but i have it saved into my documents and every time i try to open it i have to run it every time what does that mean i have to run a program every time does that mean every time i run it it takes memory from my computer and is there a way of fixing this any help would be appreciated

My kids were playing a game on my computer. They were pressing several keys on the keyboard and now everything displayed on my monitor is upsidedown. Everything is backwards such that when I move the mouse in one direction, it moves the opposite way.

I had asked a question earlier about a possible scammer emailing me and I said I never knew this person. Someones reply was that its impossible for anyone to email me or have my email address that I didn't know. Are they correct? If not, how does someone get my email address without me giving it to them?

The drive will not open. If I open it manually, and put a disc in, it does not recognize that there is a disc in it. Device manager says it's running properly. I'm not sure if I have any kind of warranty, since I bought it at CostCo. It's less than a year old. What should I do? Toshiba's website was no help at all.
