It will print in grayscale only. I printed a test page which said Color Support: No. I don't have an option in my printer settings to change the color profile. Any suggestions?

I have been trying to decied what laptop to get for college. I will be an engineering major. I have narrowed it to two computers: the dell inspiron E1405 with the core duo t2500( 2 GHz), 1 GB memory, and 80GB hard Drive; or the Apple MacBook with 1.83 GHz Intel core Duo, 1 GB memory, and 80 GB hard drive. The cost amlost the same so..... I would appreciate any advice, even if you can come up with another computer around a $1300 price tag. And DO NOT compare just the power, i want performance and flexibality. I want it to be useful and be able to just goof around on. I will not be playing any games on it so don't take that into consideration. I just want to get my work done on it.

A friend of mine accidentally bid £2,000 on an item whereas she meant to bid £2.00. In the ebay rules it says you must retract a bid straight away, but this happened 36 hours ago and she only noticed her bid was wrong tonight , so is there any way you can retract a bid after 36 hours in exceptional circumstances?

I use Norton, Microsoft's antispyware, and f-secure. All of them will find 40-70 threats, but none of them will completely remove them. It is horrible to get on the internet. (so Far I've closed 8 pop-ups, just in writing these 2 sentences) If I could get my hands on the jacka$$ that invented spyware, I'd choke him within an inch of his life. Any help will be greatly appreciated, I can't afford to take it to Geek Squad or anyone right now.

I had Mozilla as my default browser for a while but I've decided to switch back to Internet explorer. For some reason it's not working and I'm now browsing with Netscape. I have a feeling it has something to do with my antivirus, because I suspended the antivirus and it started to work. I fooled around a lot with the connection settings for Internet Explorer, I may have messed it up!Any suggestions?

How did business communicate? I think it's amazing people used to write vast novels with just a typewriter. Remember carbon paper? Fishing for change at a payphone? Isn't it amazing that huge projects like bridges, tunnels, buildings and aircraft were made without computers, cellphones, or email? How did you communicate?
