It will print in grayscale only. I printed a test page which said Color Support: No. I don't have an option in my printer settings to change the color profile. Any suggestions?

does it have color ink if it does then check with HP

you may be out of colour ink, or the colour cartridge may not be properly installed.

it wouldn't hurt to look in you print properties to ensure that everything is set to normal.

Run a print head cleaning. At the completion of this operation, your printer should provide you with a diagnostic or picture page. You should see colour on this. If not then the problem is the cartridge.

Make sure you have ink in the tricolor cartridge. The 3820 has software that checks the amount of ink.
