It is very unfortunate that in India there are no laws protecting one from vandalism. I have silently suffered two such acts in the past 10 days. Nothing can be done and I am only seething with anger and anguish.
There have been 2 big gashes on my Car (Black car, may I add) one on the door and another one on the side of the boot. And it is a big graffiti made from a sharp object, may be a key or a nail.
My car is always parked on the street as there is no parking facility in the building...and the street urchins somehow have targeted just my car, I am wondering why! Maybe even they find black a bit too alluring..
But it is something I really worked my butt off, earning. So I feel extremely disgusted and it pains to see some street kid do damage to my hard earned asset and I am not able to do much about it other than fretting and fuming!!

Anyone faced similar trauma?

This is more prevelant in the South, as I have heard several scary stories from others who I know.

Should a car seat that was in a vehicle when it was involved in a minor accident be replaced? It was a very minor accident, no injuries, miniscule damage ... Can anyone give me definitive information?

She is from Japan, so she's used to driving on the other side of the road. She really needs to know how to drive, but some might say that I can be a little bit impatient. Any tips would help.

My lawn extends out to the edge of our street. There is no real curb, so cars free free to park with their tires on the edge of my lawn...I was thinking about putting down some bricks or something to line the edge of the lawn...any suggestions?

they allowed to sell so much beer at sporting events when we all know that everyone there has to drive home afterwards? Very few people walk to a stadium. I ask this because this past weekend, a guy in my state, leaving a ballgame after drinking multiple beers, hit another car and killed two people. He now faces a manslaughter charge.

There were 5 people in the car, the driver (the 17 year old girl) was injured, and a 17 year old in the backseat was killed. Another teen was left with brain damage. What kind of sentence will she get? Will she be charged as an adult? What will happen to her?

we're told time and time again by the nanny state what is good for us and they always find a way to tax it. why has it not been made law for cyclelist to wear helmets even if it is for kids under a certain age.surely this would save live's .or is it because there's no money to be made from such a law?

I think it was around 15 years ago, and some people were killed when they were pinned between the car and a wall. 60 Minutes did a story on it.

Did they prove that it was caused or not caused by the transmission?

Driving is the #1 killer of teenagers in the US, between 6000 to 10,000 teens die each year yet parents shop for the cheapest driver education & training they can find. My friend got a job at a cut-rate driving school in CA and they gave him 1 1/2 hours (90 minutes) of instructor training before sending him out to teach teenagers in the car without an instructor's license and before his criminal background check was finished. He couldn't believe how parents just dropped off their children without even meeting the instructor or asking what the training included. My friend also told me that the CA DMV doesn't require instructors to take a drive test to prove that they know how to drive. There was another instructor at this cut-rate cheap driving school who had been working there for 3 years and had never taken a teenager on the freeway. He reported this to the DMV Investigations and nothing happened to this school. He was professionally retrained at another, more expensive school.
