don't think so Princess. Sounds like a case of vandalism. There was no MP3 player in your car, so there was probably nothing to steal. Hope you locked it when you left.
Oh, and watch those Mexican haircuts.. they can be surprising.

No they were after your stuff and when they couldn't take it they got pissed and cut your tire for spite. Relax, just some lazy slob looking for an easy take; would be too much of a coward to actually go after you. Sounds like a not so cool neighborhood. If you go away again plan to park your car at a friends house or with family or anywhere that it can be watched while you are away.

You were most likely a victim of circumstance. A crime of opportunity. One the other hand, someone may have something against you, a neighbor or a neighbor's kid.
At any rate, it doesn't matter. whoever did this will not take any physical action against you. They were trying to hurt you in some financial way, or at the least cause you some aggravation at the minimum.
if you can't remember irritating anyone recently, at work or at home, then most likely it is a random act. I would tend to think it was someone who knew you weren't at home and that you were on vacation.
Sorry it happened, but don't worry about any physical harm. That wouldn't be their style. If they wanted to hurt you, then they wouldn't have tipped you off by damaging your car. Good luck.

I would be 99% sure that nobody is after you. It would be either
1. You just pissed someone off, and giving someone else the impression your better than they are, usually someone in your neighborhood.
2. 13-15 year olds learning how to slash tires for the first time, and knowing if they steal something, their moms will wonder where they got it from.
My estimated quess is the first one. From your profile description, image, name, and the whole fact you used the phrase "intrigues me" tells me your sophistication with other people and your ideal self are totally opposite.
Nothing personal; just estimated; suggested reason

I think you're probably ok. I had a similar experience and it was a couple of young punks. The slashing of tires and breaking into your car sounds like someone is taking angst out for some reason. Did you recently upset someone?
