I am trying to find out the name of the plastic cling that is on the back of school buses to let them see lower than the window. It allows you to see wider and lower than the window. I have seen them on Vans and also on RVs. Can anyone tell me what they are called or where to get them? Thanks

If not, shouldn't there be? I ask this, because whenever you come upon an accident with a car and a large truck/SUV, there always seems to be alot more damage done to the car than the SUV. Another idea would be keeping SUVs and large trucks to the right lanes only, like they do with 18 wheelers.

I have seen people actually go faster over a speed bump, I have seen them square up so that both front then the rear tires hit at the same time. I have also seen people go at an angle. So what is the best way so that you won't misalign your vehicle?

Why do people creep up the on-ramp at 30-40mph when they know that they will need to be merging with on-coming traffic? The on-coming traffic is moving at 65-80mph. I see this everyday and wonder why people don't realize this. Anybody know?

Driving home last night doing about 29mph on a 30mph speed limit over the white lines where the speed cameras are and once i was over the white lines i picked up a bit f speed. Then somebody in the car said oh someone just got flashed behind us and then i convinced myself that it was me even though i was not over the limit o n the white lines, but i thought because i picked up a bit of speed abut 200 yards after the white lines they flashed me.I would just like to know is it only on the white lines they can do you.I know the cameras are there for a good reason, but does anyone else think 3 points and a fine is a bit steep.

Just wondering how many do. I always lock mine because you never know, some guy could hop in when you are at a stoplight and take over the car.

I live in Portland Oregon and drive a car. We are very bike friendly and although its not my thing I'm all for supporting them when its good for the environment and clears congestion...However I notice that many many times they never follow traffic rules when riding on the road. They run red lights and stop signs, it's physicaly impossible for them to follow speed limits (more of an annoyance than a danger if your behind them), and they are VERY rude.

One time I slowed down waiting for a bicyclist to merge because he gave the hand signal in on a very busy street durring morning rush hour. Because he never did and was slowing a huge line of cars behind me I was just going to go around him after his arm went down and I waited a little more. He then darted infront of me, turned around and screamed obsenities and cut oncomming traffic to turn down a side road. And this was man that looked well to do. What gives? What can I do to change things?

Occassionally, 2 black wires are placed across the road in a number of places along the road. They stay for a couple of weeks or so and are then removed. Do they count traffic or measure speed or something?

Getting a new-to-me vehicle (Odyssey). Family members imply that I should practice in parking lots when it isn't busy rather than just taking it out on the road. I think they are just putting me down. How is front-wheel drive driving different from regular driving?

BTW, I have driven a full-sized van before, so it has nothing to do with it being a mini-van.

Meredydd Hughes, who is head of road policing for the Association of Chief Police Officers is to be prosecuted for speeding, after doing 90 mph in a 60 zone in North Wales in May. 3 points on his licence maybe? A fine in line with the speed he was doing? Or will he get away with it on a technicality or by coming up with some story that will let him off the hook?

Okay, I just bought a Blue Ox Advanta tow bar and while I've yet to print out and study the instructions, the set up looks pretty self-explanatory. I've also read the manual on my Jeep Wrangler on how to set up the tranny for towing, etc., so no problem there. Electrical is set up, too. My question is this: Any magic to setting the tow bar with vehicle "free wheeling" behind it? In other words, (like I did on a different Korean War Jeep), just pull it with the steering on the jeep free, right? Also (subject to my review of the Blue Ox plans when I print them), any particular set up needed when I hook the receiver in, hook the pins and safety chains up, etc.? Please only those that have experience towing like / kind. Thanks

I need to rent a U-Haul trailer to move a family dining room set 1200 miles. They seem to be the only company which rents moving trailers. One of their smaller ones behind my my Caravan should be just fine. I already have the 3500 lb hitch. Checking their website for some basic information, they mention several times that the maximum recommended speed is 45 mph ! I would think that speed would actually be dangerous by being too slow on major highways. Are they serious or just covering their butts ? Have you ever rented one? Did you travel at highway speeds of say 60 mph or more? Any other comments?

In Anderson Co TX 99% of all fatal wrecks involving more than one vehicle were caused by someone over 65. If they cannot see, hear, or hold their **** in why do people think they can still drive? I think it is funny how they complain about loud music because they did not have any hobbies growing up.

There's traffic behind you, sporadic vehicles coming the other way in the other lane, and you've noticed pedestians here and there on the footpath.

What would be your reaction and what is actually the best course of action in those circumstances?
