The MAIN cause is INEXPERIENCE, whether it's a teen or adult.

I know some rookie adult drivers that I wont get in the car with.

The SECOND cause is people in a rush making dangerous maneuvers.

If you combine the two, you have a VERY dangerous driver.

The THIRD is the idiot who passes a slower driver in an unsafe manner, then blames the slower driver.
(part of the second group)

15 to 20 year-old drivers are the highest risk group for a fatal crash? Seventy percent of fatalities in this age group involve the use of alcohol. Night driving statistics are even worse:

Young drivers average about 20 percent of their driving at night – yet they account for more than 50% of all nighttime crash fatalities!

Of that 50+ percent, 21% of those involved were intoxicated by alcohol.

No, statistics actually show that teens are not the main cause of car accidents, although I don't remember the leading cause.

I don't think soooooo.......

Talking through mobile while driving, drunk n drive, rash driving, attempting to overtake other vehicles in a turning or bridges, playing with kids, chatting with others while driving, eating, and many more....

So age doesn't matter in this.....

Have a wonderful day RoChEr :-)

NO!!! It is not good to label out any sole group. People that are careless are the cause of accidents. Sorry to say but the Sunday drivers are the worst.

I have more of a problem with the 65+ crowd driving 15 mph under the speed limit and changing lanes whenever they want.

Most accidents are caused by teens.
Other top reasons are drunk driving and stupidity.

No. I think it's just irresponsible drivers. I'm sure statistically that they might be, but driving to slow is just as dangerous and driving to fast.
