I live in a state where they are banning driving with a cell phone unless it is hands free. If i use a rubberband to attach cell phone to my head is that considered hands free? Can i get a ticket?

Neat line of thinking. But rubber bands are too prone to failure -- try using duct tape or a staple gun instead.

Ha ha ha. Good thinking. I think that is hands free and you shouldn't get a ticket for that.
Anyway I don't see the big deal with cellphones and driving. I see texting to be a hazard but talking on the phone while driving is the same as listening to music while driving.
I don't see why people are so pressed about cellphone distracting you and all that.
I understand some people cannot accomodate talking on the phone and driving at the same time. No problem with that. Those people shouldn't have radios or music in their cars.
For us who can handle that, they should let us be.

My point is if you cannot, turn off your phone and music when you get in your car and leave those who can do it to breathe. But that will only happen in the real world, so we are all screwed.

Hopefully it will soon be illegal to drive and use a phone hands free or not. All the studies say that just the act of concentrating on a phone conversation is what distracts people and causes accidents. I just turn my phone off when I get in the car. Wheni get out, and turn it on, I check for messages and missed calls. I've been almost run over by too many people with a phone stuck in their ear.

That is quite interesting that you use a rubberband. I would rather wait to make a phone call, then use a rubberband.

I would not use a rubber band to attach the phone to my head. I always pull over to make a call.

Haha, wouldn't that be a little painful? I don't think it would be as effective.. just buy yourself a hands-free bluetooth system... they are a lot cheaper than they used to be and they work really good..

No. Use superglue. This way you'll never lose the phone. Just make sure you have a fluffy pillow at night.
