Medical supply stores may carry them. Look for shops where power wheelchairs are sold.

You ask for local outlets, but don't mention where you are. Your local phone book should help you find a store.

I bought a five foot aluminum ramp, that folds, lengthwise and has a handle. It weighs about 30 lbs and is strong enough to support my 200 pound power chair. The five foot length is about the minimum length for getting the chair from the ground to the back of our Dodge Caravans.

These vans are NOT modified, in any way, so you will have to note that the wheelchair or scooter's rider can NOT ride up the ramp IN the chair. (they'd chop their head off on the roof of the van. To allow a person to ride into a minivan would require a car with extensive and expensive modifications, such as a raised roof, or lowered floor. (do a search for "Liberty Motors" for some examples of some of these)

My ramp, by the way, cost about $200.
