Two billion acts of aggressive driving, or "road rage," occur each year in the United States. In addition, the lack of traffic safety results in millions of crashes each year, taking the lives of an estimated 40,000 Americans at a cost to the public of $160 billion per year.

Not use the turn indicator signal ahead of time - instead signal when they make the turn? why dont the cops see the idiots driving around with only one headlamp, or one taillight? Or the ones who have brakelights, but no tail lamps-- or none at all? Cant we get rid of these fools???

The reason im asking is that my girlfriend was reversing in a cul de sac and hit a car that was parked on the wrong side of the road, she knows she should of been paying more attention but she wasent expecting the other car to be there.
I know it is illegal in Scotland to park on the wrong side of the road but does this law exist in England.
Thanks

I just failed my driving test yesterday and now i feel down and what not. Apparently, the drive was smooth, but the examiner marked me down at lot for not scanning the road ahead of me. If I did, I would of passed as I was marked down 9 points for traffic check. My next test is in 2 weeks. Any pointers? Thanks.

I am looking for a Fisher Price Lightweight seat that is currently a discontinued line at Mothercare.I have found it on the Argos Extra site but again it is a discontinued line and have yet to find a store with any in stock.
It has to be this seat because my 5 year old daughter is small in height and all other models have the belt cutting into her neck and are thus inappropiate. No other suggestions were made to me at Mothercare except to put her in a baby seat which at 5 years old she will not do because of embarassment at school etc....

My Pontiac Sunfire caught on fire on the highway within 24 hours of getting the vehicle certified for safety and e-tested. The fact is - I could have died in this incident; had the highway been busier and I was unable to escape.

I was forced to pay $265 for the towing of an ashy, written-off vehicle that was certified the day before and almost killed me. Some people would take advantage and try to sue for thousands of dollars.

I just want the money that I paid for towing - and a refund of the initial cost to certify the car. Its the principle here. Now, if the Auto Shop refuses to pay, could a lawer clearly indicate in court that the Auto Shop was at fault and should therefore be financially liable?

Thanks in Advance

Do you think it would be a good idea if all motorists (not just women :P) had to take a driving test every five years for example?
Do you think car insurers should require this to keep the premiums down?
Do you think it would improve the standards of driving?
Would you pass or have you picked up too many bad habits?

If I complete the Parent Taught Driver Education Program can I go take the Driver's Licenses test at DPS (in Texas) Office, before I turn 16? and if I pass it, then just go take my pic, and actually get my Licenses the day of my 16th birthday? or do I have to wait to take the test after I turn 16?

Whether legal or not, I would not attempt it if I were a motorcyclist.

In my opinion, I think it's retarded that a motorcyclist should sit in the same lane as a car because:
1) Too close for starters, much like tailgating which is illegal; and
2) What if the car had to swerve for an obstacle or hard braking car in front? Your right next to it so you will be forceably swerved off the road or into another car. Instinct of the car driver to avoid the accident infront means they may not consider the motocyclist next to them.

I would be more inclined to simply be patient and overtake in the same manner as a car driver.

I'm not asking this question out of spite of a motorcyclist being able to get from point A to B quicker than a car when in traffic. My question is based soley on safety. Whether you like it or not, some car drivers are not always aware of their surroundings and I think that in these instances it is in the best interests of the motorcyclist to keep their distance.
