Why are cars made with the ability to exceed the speed limit by 100% when road traffic accidents are one of the highest causes of death in the UK?

I went go kart racing (indoor, up to 45mph, electric) for the first time about 2 weeks ago and I got in 11th place, out of 11. I am a female and I was the only female driver. I was afraid to go fast around the curves since I am new and I was putting the break on around curves, but that made me skid, which slowed me down A LOT. What can I do today at the race track to avoid the skid? I am trying to "ride the line" but it is new to me. thanks

I was thinking of putting my 3 year old in a booster seat, the 2 year old in a regular car seat and well, the baby would be in an infant car seat. I am really hoping that all will fit because I really don't want to go into buying a new van or anything like that. Where would the newborn be seated? In the middle or sides? Thanks!

I'd like to contract with AAA, any Insurance Company that offers the service or even a Cell Phone Provider that offers this service.
The idea is NOT TO TOW...just provide a "quick response" to fuel delivery, changing tires, jump starts, etc.

In Califiornia (and prehaps nationally) there is a move to replace
traditional highway signs with dual placename / numeric signs .
In some places the have taken away the place name ( ie. Turner
Ave. ) and replaced it with Exit 554 . Obviously this is NOT for the
convienence of the driver . If you don't live in the area and know where you are , you haven't a clue what exit it is. I 've
checked Caltrans website and the only real justification it can give is that it saves $ 200.00 per sign. Any info. on this?

...where it detects movement near the car and speaks something like "please move away from the vechicle".

Is there something similar to this?

the faster you drive the more likely you are to have an accident. But if you drive slower you end up being on the road longer so risk of accident is prolonged - discuss

How can I maintain my driving ability when driving uphill on a slippery road, or downhill? Is there a safe way (if I don't have a choice and NEED to drive in these conditions?)
I am fearful of driving in slippery conditions, but when there is a sudden snowfall, and the sand trucks don't come out, right away, how can I drive, safely, without sliding all over the roads? Is there a way you're supposed to steer or maneuver the roads when driving uphill or downhill on a slippery road??

does not accelerate while entering and or exiting a major highway. I have taken it in twice now to 2 different dealers/service depts and they tell me nothing is wrong. However, when my car is slowing down to 15 mph on a 65 mph highway, I classify that as something wrong. Does anyone know if they problem must be identified by the same dealer/service dept three times to be considered a lemon. I know I must have it in three times and under 12,000 miles, but do I have to be consistent with the same service dept and does the problem need to be indentified?
Thank you

O;K, this is it!....My boyfriend....has a Grand Prix 97 fully loaded "OK" well tonight I drove it somewhere and when I went to roll up the (automatic) window, "It wouldn't" so when I got home I told him about it so then he got into the car started it and the window rolled right up for him,OK so then the next night I drove it bamb the same thing happens again to me "it rolled down with no problom but won't go back up" so then I get home and tell him again but only this time it won't go back up for him either, so here it is: we have a huge bet on it so I need a honest answer Please: He said that....I...broke it by pushing the button to hard,(Ididn't even hardly touch it ) and I told him that it was a part going out on the car because it was just wore out. My jimmy done the same thing on mine years earlyer and my dad was a mechanic and fixed it. But he still insists that I BROKE IT! I mean come on here, I would have to really slam on that button to brake it Right? your opinion Please!
