NO. The van is not structurally designed for airbags. If installed they will cause far more injury if they deploy than without. You can, however, install better seatbelts. They protect you much better than an airbag anyway.

Iguess your dad don't want you to use it and found that excuse for it.
Almost any installation is possible in a car, but installing an air bag system in your car would cost more than the car itself just in design and parts. Besides that, there is no aftermarket airbags that you can use nor an amateur installation would be safe.
You should be fine using the required seatbelts for your model car.

Doubtful, it would probably cost many times the value of that particular vehicle to have them installed and that is If you could even get someone to install it. Many cars from the early 90's had multiple airbags installed however you'd be hard pressed to find them in an American vehicle.

Dude , in case you hit your mothers and fathers automobile with the Nova probability is they might truly survive with the air bags, in case you had what they stated as a seat belt on , you've a sore shoulder . They have been geared up lots greater effective lower back then and did no longer decide on something exploding of their faces. I gained`tcontinual a automobile with a working laptop or pc or air bags

Yes you can, You would need to buy a steering column with an airbag already in it and also find and buy the mechanism that senses and fires the air bag. You would also have to adapt the electirical aspect of this conversion, lights horn etc. Be carful not to cross the horn wire circuit and the air bag trigger, the results of this error are predictable. it could be do-able...if ya have enough coin. but for an '84, not worth it. junk the 22 yr old van and get a more modern airbag equiped van.
