I am looking for a Fisher Price Lightweight seat that is currently a discontinued line at Mothercare.I have found it on the Argos Extra site but again it is a discontinued line and have yet to find a store with any in stock.
It has to be this seat because my 5 year old daughter is small in height and all other models have the belt cutting into her neck and are thus inappropiate. No other suggestions were made to me at Mothercare except to put her in a baby seat which at 5 years old she will not do because of embarassment at school etc....

Well for the one you specifically want, I'd look to ebay.

However, the main problem is the belt over the neck situation, otherwise any booster would do.

At almost any autoparts story, like Murray's or Pep Boys, they should have the device to lower the belt's height to a child height. It clips the belt to the lap belt and then you can tighten it, thereby lowering the chest belt's height. I'm not sure of the names of the product, like say, child belt adjustors, whatever, but a person at the autoparts store should know. They probably have them at other stores like Target, Meijers, Dillards, but I know that I've seen them before at Murray's.

Take Care,
Brian

Most Booster seats come supplied with an extra belt that fixes to the seat and then to the seat belt to allow the height of the belt to be adjusted to suit the height of the child, as for her being embarresed at school.....who makes the decisions in your house!!!

I got a great carseat for my son, it's not a carseat with a harness. it looks like a smaller version of a normal seat of a car except you put the normal seat belt through a hole and it adjusts to your child's height. you can also remove the back of the seat and just use it as a booster seat. it's a Graco car seat it cost £35 from Halfords the shop that sells bits for cars and bicycles.

can't you just get one like this?

http://www.mothercare.com/gp/product/B000ILIPCQ/sr=1-1/qid=1167318713/ref=sr_1_1/026-1265441-0962041?ie=UTF8&m=A2LBKNDJ2KZUGQ&n=44453031&mcb=core

it still converts to a booster seat when she's tall enough, but until then you use the harness rather than the seatbelt
