wondering if anyone knows how long you can drive with a damaged windshield before you have major problems- such as it shattering. a rock hit the windshield today and the impact spot is a little bigger than a quarter but it has "legs" coming from it already. the glass place was closed when this happened and i leave for work before they open. i have to drive about 30km down the highway and hope that they will have time to look at it tomorrow. if not its 30km home again and then back in sometime when they can look at it. is it best to not drive it and wait for an appointment??

I found the car I want Ladies and gentleman......

http://www.carpages.ca/go/Listing/67879.aspx

But I wanted your opinion:

Is this a good price? Could I bargain with the sales guy even though I'm financing it?

YES I KNOW THE MILEAGE IS HIGH AND ITS A 6-CYLINDER

Is there anything YOU see that I "wont" because being excited is getting the best of me?

What am I looking for?
(besides the obvious mildew smell, rust in places where it shouldn't be, inspect in the day and don't just kick the tires. lol)

Don't want an engine any greater than 1.2/1.4 max, plus something that's quite low for someone not too fit, to get in and out of easily. Want 5 doors and a new car with nice comfortable interior if possible - but I'd really like a bit at the back for the dog too but cars like that took too big for me to drive. Any ideas?

i love the ford super duty trucks. but i dont know how to afford one. i definitely can't afford my dream truck. my dream truck is the f-350 crew cabin with double wheels in the back. that is 55,000 bucks and that is out of the question. i want a nice lookin truck. some trucks look real boring b/c they are made for work only. this is a pleasure vehicle in my case. how can i get a good deal? maybe i should lease one? i need my payments to be like 400 a month. willing to put money down. or perhaps an f-150 would be cheaper and better idea?

my dad said it's supposed to have some kind of freakishly good speakers in it that are new...because he didn't know how to cover up this hole thing...so he built more speakers lol.

this was the first new car he bought. i feel bad because although i like it, it's just not a girl car to me lol. he didn't give it to my sister, but he's giving it to me...she wanted it, and i never really did lol....does anyone else see it as slightly cool? just wondering, i'm not trying to be a spoiled brat!

i think this car to him signifys something special like, he trusts me a lot or something....

My brother is getting a 1996 Mercury Mystique Spree to take to college with him. It's got a 2.5L v6, and it's automatic. Red exterior, gray cloth interior.

He's getting it free, since it's a hand me down from our aunt. It's only got 77,000 miles on it, but I usually see women driving them, and my other brother said it's a girls car. Just the name makes me think girls car "mystique spree"

Don't get me wrong, it's fast, it gets up to speed in no time. I wouldn't mind using it myself, I just was wondering if anyone else felt it was a girls car????

Me, I drive a Ford Probe, an 86 porsche 944 red with black leather, 62,000 miles, and 5 speed. I'm taking a 2000 Mercury grand marquis to college-by no means a girls car

SO yeah, is the mystique a girls car? It's the same as the ford contour, just seems like it has a gayer name

My car is MISSING and I suspect that it got towed. I called up the towing place and asked if my car was there. The guy said "yah, it's here". I then asked if he could read the license plate or tell me a distinguishing feature about the car so I would know for sure it's mine. (The tow place is in a bad ghetto, & quite frankly I don't want to travel to a ghetto by myself with $200 in my pockets if the car might not even be there) He said "I KNOW it's yours" so I said "what? you don't know me. I need to find out if it's my car for sure" and he hung up.

So I called back and again asked him and he refused to tell me anything about my car. I asked what time they were open & he said 9-5, but I'm supposed to be at work until 5pm & I'm an hr away from the tow place. I also do not have someone to accompany me to the ghetto til after 6pm. I asked him what I was supposed to do, and he said "Fine, just leave it then" and hung up!

What can I do? And is it possible that he's going...

Going to MA for a family reunion, but I will be flying in on my own. I am 21, but need to rent a car. I have been told that I can't rent a car until I am 25, but some people say that it depends on the agency. Anybody know a place that will rent cars to 21 year-olds?

I'm in Mid-South Carolina, and lately there have been several really heavy downpours to the point of you almost driving blind. I have noticed that many, but not all, motorists in these conditions turn on their flashing emergency lights. Is this a law, or are people needlessly warning you of the rain (it seems moot to have them on, we can see your lights anyways and we KNOW that its raining heavily)?
