yes it is illeagal you will get parking tickets for it all over the country depending on if the city enforces it we have two neiboring cities that one is highly potroled you will get a tikket withen 10 minuets and the other city you can leave it that way for weeks and not get botherd i had a cop knock on a door and ask me to turn it around once
dont listen to the people who tell you it isnt illeagal unless they are willing to pay the ticket if you get one

Not true. I lived in FL 30 years and never heard this, plus, I parked in reverse many times. The only time it was a factor was when I was parking at my College and they specifically told us not to park backward. They needed to see our decals on the back of our car and parking in reverse made it much harder for the Security Guards to do so. Also, there are certain property developments that have the same rules as they too need to see certain decals. Otherwise, I have never had an issue.

If it's true, it's not enforced...people in Florida can't drive...maybe it's just all the tourists and snow birds, but half the time people are parked in multiple spots. I've never heard of anyone getting a ticket for parking a certain direction.

Depends on the flow of traffic in a parking lot that has angled spaces. But for the most part....it's not true.

the only think you'll get a ticket for concerning parking the wrong way is if you are on the wrong side of the road. meaning, if you park facing north in the southbound lane.

well im in CA but one thing i found out was it is illegal at one of the colleges. my friend got a ticket for it and then he was like what the f? and he tried to fight it and they told him there are signs out there saying not to park like that. we went to try to find them. i think there was one and it was hella hidden. basically he still had to pay the ticket.
i have no idea why thye have that rule. maybe they think young adults will just race out of class once its done. i dunno

Sounds like a joke, but call the DMV if it'd make you feel better.
