When should I go from 1st to 2nd,
....2nd to 3rd...
....3rd to 4th...
and 4th to 5th for the maximum accelleration? Should you skip gears in possible or wind them all out?

I've always driven an automatic and never driven a manual before. I am just curious about those "4matic" "shiftronic" drives, basically it's an auto with a manual override.....how do those work? I mean if you're on 3rd gear in auto, can just just shift to manual and go up a gear? or can you only use the manual override when you start from 1st gear?

I am thinking of purchasing this car and the carfax report does not include the model or make of the car as it usually does, but just the VIN number. Also, the there are only two notes on the report and the first one was made after 51,000 miles? I asked the dealer and he stated that Audi/Volkswagon owned the car and since it was used by the dealer they did not send the info out (I am forgetting now, but I think he said they did not send the info out to the dmv) Can anyone shed some light on this situation? Specifically, under what circumstances this may be plausible? Title washing? Grey Market cars? Vin cloning? Thanks.

I bought an '89 Lincoln Town Car. It's all black, black leather, blacked out windows. He sold it to me real cheap, ($200.) told me not to ask any questions and keep my mouth shut. When I got it home, I smelled an odor coming from the trunk. I opened it up, and there was a dead guy in it all dressed up in a nice pin-stripe silk suit and a very expensive wool over coat. I thought about keeping the coat but it had a couple holes in it and some blood stain. What should I do? Can the coat be cleaned and repaired, it really is nice?
