I have a German driving licence (Class B). Can anyone tell me how many persons I'm allowed to take in my car (minibus, up to 15 seats)? What are the general regulations about that in GB?
Thanks, Florian

I've never bought a used car before, usually when buying a new car, papers are signed with the dealer, but it's usually a few days before the dealer has the car ready. When buying a used car, can I take the car home the same day? Also what tips can you give me to look out for when buying a used car?

Thanks

I know that the lower the mileage the greater the value, but I mean miles add up so fast! do you guys try to keep the mileage low? or just drive with no mileage hesitation ? I'm kinda stuck in between, miles add on quick for me because my house is at least 10-15 miles away from the city. Lets hear your input! thanks!

I am looking for a good website with background pictures for photo chopping, specifically for automobile use. Such as 60's style drive inns and backgrounds like mountain roads where you could put a car in the foreground. thanks

Ok i am looking into buying a car, I am stuck between two choices, There is a 1995 Honda Civic with 159,000 miles on it for 2700 it seemed to run great and has new inspection and we would buy it privately. Or a 1997 For escort with 70,000 Miles for 1,300 that runs really good and it is from the same person that we bought or last car from, my hubby boss at work, so we know he is reliable, if anything goes wrong he fixs it for free for us, it also has new inspection. I really didnt want to spend as much as the honda is but i have heard these are some of the best cars you can buy. I am a young mother of two and looking for the cheepest car to maintain insure and that will last a while and have the least problems. But i am very bad with cars and wrecked alot already so saftey is an issue too. which do you think would be the better investmaent??

If possible, I would prefer if an economist or family guy or woman answered this question. My friends spend too much money on their cars by a long shot and the dealership I fear would tell me anything just to sell a car.

I'll be taking the exam tomorrow to get my Learner's Permit at the New York DMV.

I'm slightly nervous about taking it, and I've been trying to find some materials online (preferably an online practice exam, or something of the sort).

That said, as I'm sure many of you have taken this exam, or one similar to it, please tell me what are some of the questions that are asked? Basically, at least an overview of some of the things we have to know?

Much appreciated everyone, thanks.

If you've gonna get a "sports car" and you've never driven one before, it needs to be a an 8-cylinder. V6 Camaros are all show and no go. Sometime in the past before I finally got my hands an 8-cylinder sports car, I unfortunately spent all of my hard-earned money on a V6 Camaro years ago and I hated it because I realized what a mistake I made by taking the advice of my folks to not get an V8 yet. I know how to drive.

I think V6 sports cars are only good for someone who's already had their fun with a V8 sports car and now they wanna take it easy. For someone yet to experience the thrill of going 0 to 60 in under 6 seconds, it has to be an 8-cylinder if they're gonna get a "sports car".

A Mustang, Firebird, or a Camaro just isn't a true "performance car" without that true get up and go that's got more power than some sedan. If it's no laster than some sedan, then it's not truly a "performance car", is it? That V6 Camaro I had was no faster than a 2000 Ford F150 with a V8.

I am getting a new car soon and the only 4wd car I know of is the Subaru Forester or Outback or whatever. I need to know some good looking cars (not trucks or suvs) that have great gas mileage and 4-wheel drive. Thanks. Oh and if you know the gas mileage of the car please tell me that too.

I test drove a BMW 3 series..not sure what year it was, but it had an MPG meter in it that tells you how many miles you're getting to the gallon.

Is it possible to install one in your car?

I was traveling from out of town when my car begin to make a funny noise. I pulled over and put a quart of oil in and then proceed to the next exit. I stopped at the gas station and put another 1 1/2 of oil in the car and the noise was now softer. I proceed back on the high way and I notice about a mile out the car did not want to accelarate and next thing I knew it died. When I attempted to restart the car it kept making a clicking noise. I was told by a friend that it could be the engine. I had the car towed to my home, however I am not sure if that is what's wrong with it. How can I be certain it is the engine and if so are there any web sites where I can buy a engine for reasonable.
