American cars used to be crude in the 60s and they are build with a single objective .... more horse power, faster and better timing and the most important thing in mind, to counter expensive and luxury Continental/European cars such as Ferrari and Porsche where they are famous for their power and also control and also comfort ~

Fast Forward to Present day .... how are the sports car from 2 different continent fare now ?? are American sports car still as crude and hard to control as the 60s ?? are the Ferraris doing any better or worse ?? you have your word ...

please do not quote from any auto magazines website or anyone at all ... own experience only ... true and genuine ~~ thank you ~

Also without something getting stuck to it, or having to wedge bits into your slightly open car windows? Assuming of course the car is left outside...

Does anyone know if a turbocharger off of a 1 ton late model American truck will work on a domestic v8? Will it be able to keep the turbo spooled up, will it work in the 1500 to 6000 rpm range or is it designed for the diesel's rpm band? Any help will be greatly appreciated, thank you all!!!!!!!!!!

I live in a city centre (Exeter, Devon) with no car so anything like an out-of-town scrap yard is out of the question (severely cutting down my options I know!)

There are a couple of MOT stations and a KwikFit within walking distance however.

I am after a tyre from a tractor, lorry or large 4x4 to use in my fitness training, so it doesn't have to be road worthy (I am going to bash the hell out of it with a sledgehammer).

Any suggestions?

PS, I intend to roll the tyre home with a gang of mates, if need be) in case you're wondering!

I know that ULS diesel is bad for about every part of the fuel system in older diesels... Is there anything we can add to our fuel to prevent premature/very expensive repairs? Thanks in advance for any opinions.
