I'm considering moving to Washington DC and am wondering if I should keep my car or sell it. I am looking at apartments in Georgetown and plan to work in the city. I would rather not have a car, but wanted to know if it might be necessary. All suggestions would be appreciated.

It was a bit of card with the red amber and green light and the amber was a little container of air freshener. My dad had them in the 80's and i'd love a blast from the past because they were far nicer than magic trees

Hi guys!
I'm French and I am currently studying in Florida.
I have never taken my driving license in France, but I would like to take it here. I have seen that there are a few steps necessary to take driving license (exam about drugs and alcohol or whatever, and so on), so I wanted to know how long it took you to pass the exam and get your license. I'd like to do it in 2 months. Do you think it's possible?
Thanks for your answers

The car began smelling in December and has gotten worse over time. I have cleaned the car out from top to bottom. I have cleaned the carpets and seats with carpet cleaner and a steam vac but it still smells. I can not locate the exact place the odor is coming from. I believe it is the drivers side carpet near the counsel but it is hard to tell. I am so at a lost as what to do or what it could be. Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks!

I need suggestions for innovative methods of prom transportation. Half the people are going in limos, and I (being a 'kinda' attention seeker!) want to do something different. I want people to be talking about how I got there. If you could point me in the right direction to who provides your suggestion that would be great too.

Why is it that SOMEBODY can't invent a windshield wiper that actually works! Cars have almost every conceivable gadget that can do everything from GPS to voice commands to heated seats and mirrors. They can keep you from getting in accidents, diagnose themselves and tell you if something is wrong...you can watch movies or run a business from your car, but for some reason, the darn windshield wipers can't seem to clean off your windshield when you need them to! Why is that?

I'm working on an automotive program, and am having difficulty finding pictures of the 1990-1997 Ford Falcon XR8 and early 1990s Holden Commodore SS. I would prefer at least 640x480 resolution, and that the cars be clean, completely or nearly stock (no insane aftermarket parts like 25" wheels, 2-foot tall wings, or ground-hugging spoilers).

I've already tried Google, Yahoo, Wikipedia, Autopedia, Autogalerie, and Autotrader Australia (which had lots of very lo-resolution photos).

Feel free to send me photos of your own cars in this resolution or higher.

E-Mail is tenpoundburrito@yahoo.com.

Last week, there was a few very big chunk of ice snow flow up into the air from a car in front of me on Hwy7 in Richmond hill. One of ice snow block fell on the left corner of my wideshield with a big loud "bam" sound. I worried it might break my glass but I could not see it since the widesheild were dirty, plus I had to focus on the traffic on the road. I was thinking to stop that car, but I was hurry going back home to look after my sick toddler (he got vomitting). So I wrote down his plate number. In the next following days, I really forgot this. But this morning, I found it did break and the line is about 3-4 inches.
Can I still hold that driver responsible for this? Where I should go through it? through police or insurance company? If I call insurance company, will my premium goes up?
Could anybody who works in insurance or who has similar experience give me some advice?
Thanks in advance.

Also what is the brakes have no role or something?

I've finished paying off my student loans, have some money saved up, time to get a car, but problem is what car to get? I've been driving a 99 Civic for two years, and now I can get ride of it, and buy my first car!

I wanted to know people opinion on what cars I should look at. I've asked before and gotten some nice responses.
It has to look nice, have some luxeries, I might take it to the track occasionally, so had to have some power.....and now the kicker, it has to be an everday car because I am from Toronto and it snows here sometimes, so that means no soft top convertibles. Has to be under $35k, and I prefer used over new

some cars I've been looking at...

'03 G35 coupe
'01 M3
'07 G6
'03 325ci or 330 ci
'04 TL
'05 TSX
'06 IS250

Thanks for answering

IdleAire is a new product available to truck drivers, as an alternative method of heating and cooling the cab area where drivers sleep when they take down time. A bridge type apertatus stretching the length of a truck stop parking lot has central Heat/AC
units for each parking spot. From the unit hangs a yellow tube about 16 inches in diameter, that snaps into a window adapter placed in the passenger side window. At the end of this tube is a computer screen, a satelite tv coaxle hookup, and plug ins for internet use as well as a vent for the warm-cool air to travel through. Members swipe their card, and set the temp. It costs $1.85 an hour. When a diesel engine idles, it uses 1.4 gallons per hour, at $2.50 per gallon. If Idleaire were made available and were required for all drivers to use during their 10 hour D.O.T. required downtime, this country would curb diesel use by at least 1/2 a million barrels per day during weekdays. Imagine how much of an effect that would have on prices!
