my buddies got a 2ooo silverado with stock rims.......whats the biggest tire he can run without rubbing, he wants fairly fat and aggressive tread.........whats the widest he can run?

If the truck is not lifted then I would say 31x11.50x16.
If you have a lift you might get 33's on her!
Chevy's dont seem to have the stock height as Ford or Dodge but I think the 31x11.50x16 is what your after!
Still unsure, just call the local 4x4 shop they will know forsure!

a good tire shop should be able to tell you exactly
just remember ... when you put different size tires on (bigger or smaller) it will affect the speedometer reading, bigger tires will cause the speedometer to read lower than the vehicle is actually going. when i changed mine, i got a 20% difference, so when i was doing 100kph it was showing 80kph.

as long as your bumper is low enough and your fenders are wide enough, no worries!
