well i wud say tht it is bcoz of the more population and increasing number of cars and bikes in the household.. b4 we cud only see hardly 1 car or 1 bike in a house. but now we wont see any house without at least one car and a bike..

I'm not sure what you're asking, but I'll just assume it's why there's so much traffic in India... Well, India is one of the more advanced countries of the world, as well as one of the most populated. It's also an older country, so the streets may not be as broad as newer cities like New York or Las Vegas where you get eight lane streets to support the high traffic.
Take high population and small streets, and there's your answer. Though I can't say that applies to all of India but that's what makes sense to me.

Because India and china are in a boom time at the US expense people have money for cars and thus there has been a boom in car ownership. Thus your roads are clogged with cars. Meanwhile your roads haven't kept up with the traffic so your roads are carrying far More cars than they can handle. This is called growing pains all countries go through this it will pass.

Roads condition is very poor and number of vehicles is very high. Police does not enforce rules properly... no proper driving sense in people. licinse is given for money and not skills so TRAFFIC...
