and if this is the case, would you be allowed to drive a car that has both automatic and manual drive? i only ask because, what if you were driving it on manual and you crashed? where would you stand in the eyes of the law?

by the way i am not talking about myself, because i have passed test years ago( manual!), just curious thats all!

my dad got an 06 benz convertible a few months back and i haven't been able to drive it yet. maybe it's because i'm only 17 and my dad doesn't want me to drive an expensive car. i don't know but tommorow my parents are going out of town and ii am left alone with that sexy car. so i'm thinking of taking it on my own version of a test drive. i want to take it on highway with a few friends and test how fast it can go from 0-70 (at least, i'll probably want to test it's horsepower a bit further) in at least 20 seconds. i want to feel the wind in my hair for at least 20 seconds on the highway. put the pedal to the metal. how long does it take for the SL500 to reach 0-70?

Just now Pres. Bush says we need to raise fuel standards. However, when Toyota started to build its Prius other car companies followed like Ford with its Escape and Mariner, GM with its Chevy Malibu and Cadillac Escalade, Daimler Chrysler with its Mercedes S-Class and Dodge Durango, and there are countless other companies joining. I think its because customers wanted them to be built and Toyota is approaching #1, or has it? There is market COMPETITION. I'm asking, if these corporations are already doing it, why must the government step in to raise CAFE standards? Please give me plenty of thought when you answer it. Thank you very much.

with a twin turbo system (or super+turbo charged systems) the first charge is say 5 lbs boost, second charge is a 10lbs boost. will the engine recieve 10lbs?, 15? 12.5?

these would be set up sequentially not side by side split duty.

Hi. Iv just past my automatic driving test and bought a car, the only thing is i recieve it tommorrow and im woried as its a bit confusing. Its classed as an auto but it also has gears on the wheel (but you dont have to use). Now if driven in auto i dont understand why it hasnt got a park or drive, its only got a reverse, nutural and + and - please will someone help me. Thankyou love Annie xxx

I had a driving lesson today and it went rather well,my instructor says i`ve come along way since i first started out(it wouldn`t be hard!!)He did say that although i don`t panic as much i do need to find the confidence and self belief that i can drive,i`ve alot going on in my life just now(none of it good)and my confidence is at rock bottom,but i do want to drive and need to for my son,i only have four 2 hours left of my block and cant really afford to buy a load more so i was just wondering if any of you have any advice or tips on how to get my confidence up on the road,advice appreciated,thanx.
