my dad got an 06 benz convertible a few months back and i haven't been able to drive it yet. maybe it's because i'm only 17 and my dad doesn't want me to drive an expensive car. i don't know but tommorow my parents are going out of town and ii am left alone with that sexy car. so i'm thinking of taking it on my own version of a test drive. i want to take it on highway with a few friends and test how fast it can go from 0-70 (at least, i'll probably want to test it's horsepower a bit further) in at least 20 seconds. i want to feel the wind in my hair for at least 20 seconds on the highway. put the pedal to the metal. how long does it take for the SL500 to reach 0-70?

Stay home and watch "Ferris Bueller's Day Off". You'll see what can happen if you borrow dad's expensive car without permission.

You want to be very careful with such an expensive car. Most insurance companies will only cover such a car if it is only driven by people over the age of 25yrs. This could be one of the reasons your father doesn't want you to drive it. This is not saying that you are not a responsible driver, but it is the other idiots on the road that you have no control over, that you have to be careful of. Especially if they see such a young person, like yourself, behind the wheel.

just be incredibly careful with it, and know exactly what your doing, and also be aware that if you do take it out and get caught, you could be charged with theft... I'm not a big fan of Benz, but I'm just wierd like that and like the muscle era
