Some Greyhound bus stops are in outdoor public places where people could wait. In others (some large stations), the buses pull into a garage like area where you cannot go unless you have a ticket, and when you get off the bus you have to walk inside the waiting area where people wait for you. But that could only be a few yards away, not far.
