I would approach local farmers & ask if they have any old tyres lying around. Most farmers have loads of junk lying around & will probably be happy for you to haul it away for free.

well, That is a pretty stupid question (no offense) I am in exmouth, not to far as u know and if a farmer needs a new tyre, he would not go to a city center fitter to do so, would cost far too much. I can not remember if they have a farmers market in exeter, they do in exmouth so you could ask a farmer direct or phone them up in the yellow pages. May charge delivery costs or something like that. You could also try haven banks activity center. They may have a spare one or I thought there may be a couple of places around there automobile related, not been for ages but worth a shot to see if they have any clues.

Anywhere like Kwik fit or tyre specialists will be only to happy to give you a tyre as they have to pay to dispose of them.

Try asking your local mobile tyre fitter, They will probably get them back from jobs. I dont know if they remould these tyres though.

If you`re going to roll the tyre back to your home,legally it must have a minimum tread depth of 1.5 millimetres otherwise you can be charged under the Road Traffic Act, fined up to £5.000
and get 3 penalty points.

find a tractor, lorry or large 4x4, jack it up and remove wheel, remove tyre from wheel
