I am looking into getting one..any thoughts/suggestions?

Something that is seven years old can be great, but it depends who owned it and how they treated it. If it is new then it should be perfectly fine.

yeah wasnt the Ford Focus designed by Germans. Should be an ok car, even considering the fact that it still is a Ford

Well being in the business, I will say this American 4 cyl's are not known for there ability to last for long periods of time. On the otherhand any engine if abused can be a bad descision, as any engine well cared for can last forever. Take the car to a mechanic you trust, PAY him to give it a real thourough 150 point inspection, if he says it is ok then do a maintenance program with him and you will have a car that lasts for as long as you need it! Cars are machines! They need to be cared for the way the manufacterer recommends, if not then they will cost you

The money you would spend to make the Honda engine work in the ford is more than the value of the ford. You would have to get a Honda ECM to run the engine, but then wire it to work with the ford chassis. To get the drivetrain to work would be a chore. Put a junkyard engine in the ford, sell it, buy a Honda.

Focus yes a good car is, great mileage on the highway. lots of room inside the trunk so buy it now don't be a punk.

they get a Meh from me. theyre nothing special, and youd be smarter to get a camry or carolla or sentra. all will last longer and be cheaper to maintain.
and the euro focus is different (and better) than the US focus, which is what hed be getting.

yep not bad, could do worse. they come in loads of spec so pick one that meets your needs.
