I am looking to buy my first motorcyle. Any ideas of a motorcycle from 125-250cc. I am not looking for a scooter or dirt bike. I am looking for a street legal bike.

why is it intertwined instead of arranging it in parallel? does it affect much of the safety? or is for aesthetic purpose?

What is the best lube for motorcycle chains for on/off road bikes? On my bicycle and snowblower, I have always used full synthetic 20w-50 motor oil from an oil drip can. Other people have told me to use silicone, white lithium spray, bearing grease, or even that special "chain lube" which comes in a spray can. Should I just keep using motor oil or should I use one of the others I mentioned on my motorcycle?

Anybody got any ideas to stop Honda Shadow battery terminals from working loose from the battery. It causes real bad starting and charging problems, which is a pain as I have to get the spanners out to remove the seat. I have also tried threadlocker glue but I always seem to be playing with the terminals. Any ideas?

When I shift gears on my honda f3, there is a fairly loud clunk as it shifts into place. What is this noise? Does something need to be repaced or adjusted?

I rode one the other day and really couldn't believe how gutless it truly is. I mean, my Road King is a total slug compared to practically everything on the street today, but the 883 Sportster is like a Schwinn with a moped engine taped in the frame and tassels on the handle bars. I think my leaf blower puts out more than the 45 horsepower these things put out. I truly don't know how my friends at Harley can, with a straight face, put their name on this product. I guess its a good thing about half of the parts are made overseas.

i returned to motorcycling after a 25 year break. i bought a 04 triumph sprint st 955. with 2,000 miles on clock, it now has 5,500 on it i took my service book to a well known dealer; i exxplained to him i,v just returned to motorcycling ann can he tell me what service i need. he explained i need a ( big service ) £3000 + , i think he said i needed valves done, and the usual things. he said the work needed doing regardles of milage. is this right i thought the valves needed doing at a higher milage. or is he pulling a fast one. thanks to all in advance.

I ran through a mud pit, water I think went up over half the engine and stalled. I tried to kick start it and it didn't sound to good, as if the engine was having trouble turning over. Then i noticrd water in the oil. took it home and drained it. What can I do to make sure there is no trash left behind?

I've had my 2003 zuma for 2 years and it's never had a problem starting. When I tried to this evening it won't start, didn't even make a sound! I was soooooo surprised. I tried the kick start and it works just fine, but the push starter wouldn't work. What could have gone wrong? I've had to push the scooter over a high curb a few times was was wondering if I had accidently detached something underneath the scooter? I poked my head under and didn't see anything unusual. What about the line that goes from the push starter to wherever it needs to go? Is it possible that somehow it became detached? Any suggestions would be apprecaited! Thank you!!
