There is a hose that leaks gas as son as I tun on the Petcock. This hose is under the carburator. Is it sopose to be hooked up somewhere or is my carburator needs overhaul?

my bf died in a motercycle accident. there was some question about the throttle being stuck.{ did you know there is cruise control?} HD softail any history of malfunctions involving the throttle or cruise control?

Someone help me with picking a bike.

I have a full unrestricted licence so any cc is fine.
Having said that so long as it is motorway legal and can do 70 comfortably I am happy.

Right, basically I need something that is reliable and not prone to breakdowns. I won't be doing much mileage (it will be an occasional thing, just for the odd trip really so I'm not bound by buses/trains) but I want to know that after a few weeks of non use it will still start and run fine.
I'm not bothered if it looks nice particularly, so long as it is functional. I had a Virago 535 which looked nice but was a fortune to maintain and was very unrealiable, never again!

Needs to take a pillion in reasonable comfort, and the cheaper the better!

So to recap:
Cheap to run and maintain
Reliable (I'm not expecting miracles or 100% of course)
70mph without becoming dangerous
Reasonable pillion
Needs to cope with low use
Can be ugly :)
Cheap as possible

Anything suggestions?

I understand that autos have limits as to how loud they can be. I would assume that motorcycles have the same standards. But many motorcycles are alarmingly loud.

I noticed on the instructions it said to remove petcock and whatever. What would be good to use to plug the hole. I dont want to get this stuff on me or the outside the tank.

I'm a girl. I REALLY want to get into motorcross! I have know idea how to. Or evan where to start. It sounds like so much fun! I have know idea what kind of dirt bikes there are, or even what the basic parts of a uniform for motorcross is. Please tell me everything I need to know, or get possibly leave a link. By the way, is it weird that a girl whants to get into motorcross to guys?

i just bought a 1998 hardtail custom with a 1340 evo motor in it. when i test rode it was fine but as soon as we pulled it off the truck and i cranked her no throttle response its like it froze there. what in the world could cause this? i mean ive looked in the book and trouble shooted around the thing but cant budge it! it has a stock harley carb on it nothing aftermarket. thanks for your help in advance.

i think my bike may be miss fireing... it vibrates a lot more than i think it normally would... though i just got it a few days ago... its a 1980 honda cm400e... but one side near your leg gets real wark, and the other side you can touch... i also taped my shoe, with a wet bottom to the one header, and it hissed (normal) but on the other side nothing happened... i didnt have enough balls to grab each header... but the one on the right gets hot and the one on the left doesnt... i havent gotten a chance to check the plug yet... but im told they were just replaced... what else could it b other than plugs ?

Okay, I've seen them around, they look like motorcycles with training wheels... Have just spent an hour doing searches, etc, and have not found out who makes them, and NEVER get a good enough look to see the manufacturer's name. Please help me out here.
