Ahh...nothing like the camaraderie of you and your buddies out cruising for chicks on a bike.
If you get two or more biker together you always end up having to race.
If we didn't love the speed and freedom we wouldn't ride.

Well that dosn't really seem like much of a question but you put the question mark there so I shall answer it. Yes you are planing to buy a bike. You want to buy a mongoose bmx bike, or a contourqui mountain bike, either bike is suitable for all terrain except the bmx bike wouldnt be to great going a long ways uphill. The cost is pretty average for both.

Factor this into your plan . . .
In hospitals, the orderlies and nurses refer to motorcycle riders as "organ donors". . . for a reason . . .
Experienced riders all know from either experience or observation that there are two kinds of motorcycle riders:
a. Those that have had an accident . . . and
b. Those that will.
Most, if not all, insurance policies exclude motorcycles from coverage under the "medical" portion of the policy.
Most, if not all, joint injuries WILL become arthritic within 20 years.
The closer nerve inujuries are to the central nervous system, the less likely they will heal. EVER
People that drive big cars do so because they want to intimidate smaller vehicles. When you're on a motorcycle, YOU will be the smallest vehicle in traffic.
If you have a family, perhaps you should reconsider your plan altogether.

If you are a beginner puchase a used japanese motorcycle. If you are a seasoned rider purchase a Harley or whatever you like.
