and my friend says im nuts for wanting that. i like the fact i can find a newer bike with under 5000 miles and it has heavy duty parts on it.. ie brakes, trans/ clutches i know the tires are crappy but i plan on buring them off any way. Am i nuts???

My husband had a great time with his! It was a 80/80 FLH retired Chicago Police bike. Go for it !!

if the price is right then buy it. Those bikes are well taken care of and are well worth the money. a lot of people would like to have that opportunity cause those bikes are classic not to mention meet the best safety standards. And they are full dressed. I'd buy one in a hearbeat

If those are the police tires, don't burn them off! They are the run-flat tires with the heavy sidewalls. Average Joe can't get them. Sell them if you don't want them.

And if you like the bike and are going to ride it, Buy it. Who cares if you're nuts?
Better nuts than fruity, anyway.

most of those bikes are going to have between 30 and 50k on them, they are well maintained but a lot of miles

don't worry about what your friend thinks...if you like it, buy it...All of us harley riders are a little nutty...that's why we ride with a smile on our faces.....have fun
