I was in a tight parking space, and someone had the nerve to park behind me, slightly to my right. So, I tried to ease the car past the one that was in my way and ended up sliding the side of the car against a truck.

The little metal things on the back of the pick-up tore a piece of the plastic fender on the side of my mom's car. It's a 2003 Toyota Camry. Can it be fixed???

I have a 98 Chevy Cavelier. It is winter time. I turned my car on this morning and turned the defrost on, with the heat all the way up. I let it sit for awhile, and now it is overheating. I checked the anitfreeze and it is full. What could be the problem?

Yesterday I had my oil changed and tires rotated, which I do religiously to my 2001 Pontiac Grand Am (106,XXX miles). My tires were put on around 75,xxx miles, very good brand name, and if I remember right 40,xxx or 60,xxx life expectancy. When I dropped it off there was no pull, now it pulls to the right slightly. Is this a tire issue (worn belt in tire, as the Ford technician said) or is it an alignment issue? He recommended if after a week it still had the pull to switch the rear drivers with the front passengers, which would either fix the problem or result in a left pull. Which is correct?

Thanks!!!

Frozen wiper blades how to unstick. When the weather is cold and the wipers won’t move. Any good ideas on how to unfreeze them? The fuses aren’t blown, and the motor in it sounds like it’s trying, but their frozen. Any ideas and help would be great.

In the winter how do you properly wash your car? If it's too cold to hand wash your car, what do you do? I took my car to the car wash all summer but this is my first year of having a car in the winter so I don't what to do exactly. Is there a certain time of day I should wash it or should I wash it all all.

i bought a car on thursday from a person, took it to a mechanic today and found out it has a blown head gasket. the person said they bought the car at auction and it had a "greenlight guarantee" on the drive train.

they dont know what this means but they are trying to look into it for me.

does it mean they will buy the car back or will it be repaired for free or cheaper than it should cost. does anyone know? please help!

I had my car worked on 2 months back. He removed and replaced the front struts and the power steering bellows. The next day the steering rack started leaking out from the drivers side bellows. I kept the old parts. The old bellows were torn but dry, no power steering fluid on them.

What are the chances that this leak is do to a poor repair job that was done wrong?

Just figured out how to check my brake fluid in my car. It's completely empty (no wonder my brakes were off...) It's used, so I have no clue where the manual is. Does anyone know what kind of brake fluid should be going into this particular model?

And should I fill it to the max line, or fill it half way, run the car a bit. Then let my car cool off and put in more?

I have been having trouble with my 97 Chevy Cavalier starting. It has been about two months since it started acting up. Basically on occasion the car wouldn't start. I took it to a mechanic and he charged me a ton and couldn't figure it out because it wouldn't act up, so he replaced the battery.

Anyway... I thought it was the neutral safety switch (or clutch sensor, since it is a five-speed) but now not sure... it is still acting up.

Symptom is getting worse, basically it won't start ... I walk home or fetch a ride and try it some hours later and it starts up.

Some people think it is the starter or starter solenoid. My main question is, if these are going bad do they act like this? Sometimes work and then sometimes don't? I always thought they were either good or just failed and that was pretty much it.

Next question is how hard is it to replace these? Any information would be great! Thanks.

It's Volvo S40 W reg and hasn't been crashed before. the higher the speed the noisier it gets. I guess to some people it may seam normal, but is there a solution to this little annoying problem. I'm sure new sealing rubbers would make a difference, but there should be easier, maybe not as effective, solution like rubber restoring spray or something similar or some extra sealant or some other trick. Long journey coming so trying to make it as pleasant as possible to all 4 of us. Thank you in advance and Happy Christmas!!!!!!!!

I lifted up my purse from the seat next to me and while getting out of the car it hit the rear view mirror and knocked it off.

I bought a glue kit at the auto parts repair shop and did everything right. They later told me however that the windshield has to be warm because when I used it, it wouldn't stick on. I have used these in the past with cars and normally they work great. I don't have a garage and don't have a long extention cord to bring out a blow dryer to warm up the window. In fact I don't have a blow dryer. Leaving the blower on for the front window doesn't help either. I have left it on for long periods of time and it does not "warm" the entire window at all. WHAT KIND OF GLUE BESIDES THE KITS CAN I USE TO GLUE ON THE THING THAT HOLDS THE REAR VIEW MIRROR? Thank you.

I have a 2000 honda civic ex. I bought it about 2 months ago for $4000. Now it has 86k miles.
Last week my power steering belt and alternator belt came loose...So the car wouldnt start. I had it towed to my mechanic and now it needs to have those belts replaced AND a new timing belt AND a crank shaft pulley replaced.

For parts and labor he's charging $550 dollars

Is that too much for the work or is it an ok deal?

My antitheft in my 96 maxima is throwing off my ignition. Most of the time, it makes my driver door control panel unresponsive. Cant lock/unlock, it just makes a lotta noise. Power to headlights cut off, radio power cut off too. Battery is brand new fully charged. Fuses seem to be fine, not sure about the relay. I can't reset the antitheft. I've tried locking/unlocking with the keyfob in many way and opening and closing the doors/trunks from the outside. It doesnt disarm.

I hear a lot of ppl saying it might be an ignition problem. But if it is, why can't I turn on the headlights or sometimes the radio, or the door locks at least, if I have my key in and turne to ON or ACC??? Even if the ignition went bad, These things should still work shouldnt they?

Also I am positive it is the alarm, b/c power to everything is shut off when I try to crank the car, the dashboard lights, interior, lights, clock, go out. After messing with pulling the relay, fuses, battery, the door locks would work.
