what happened was after i finished painting my car ,and right before the i was going to spray the clearcoat.my compressor took a dump. anyway i asked a related question on here( the other day )and another guy said i'd have to repaint the car too.?

no you don't have to repaint it but if the paint has sat longer than 24hrs you must scuff it , go and get a 3m scuff pad
and start going over the entire surface with out rubbing the color off,use a 3m grey scuff pad and you will be fine

Donworryboutit. My wife used to paint our car every spring, a different color.
With a BRUSH!

if the clear lequer dint get full coat , than you need to rub down and give maybe 2 coats for good shine finish.
