The passenger door on my volvo S70 does not unlock when I use the remote. Any ideas please?

Try fitting (or get fitted) a replacement lock motor assembly. My dad had the same fault with his S80 on the rear passenger side. Cost about £70 from a breakers yard (found online) fitted it ourselves for nothing. Took a bit of swearing at though!
If you find the part, then Volvo (*!*astronomic labour charges*!*), or another mechanic should be able to fit it no bother if you're not confident with doing it yourself

Probably a fault in the wiring harness where it flexes between the door and the car body; possibly a stuck actuator in the door. Should be an easy fix even at the dealers

Your car will be fitted with child security on the locks, if the lever on the lock is on, the door won't unlock, open the door from the outside and check the child lock.

Is the door shut properly? Otherwise its a trip to the dealer for you!
