I understand that anything is possible these days with automobiles. But I wanted to know what would I have to do (beef up, brace, change over, etc...) if I wanted to put a Grand National Motor into a 1985 Buick Lesabre? Just something different I was thinking about doing. Would the motor bolt right up? What kind of tranmission would I need? Please feel free to elaborate.

Ive been hearing an occasional clunk moan noise under my car, ford bronco ll.Then one day out of the blue it started wobbling-the steering wheel and car- and just all over the road.I took it to a shop where the man thoroughly checked everything out,He said everything thing looked tight, only thing he could tell was the wheel bearings needed to be packed and tightened and the front shocks needed to be replaced.I knew the shocks needed to be replaced so that couldnt be it out of the blue.So he did the job.I picked it up, wobble better but not resolved. Now when i back out at a sharp angle and press the break i hear a metal to metal grind.I also encountered a huge POP when i turned very shrply into a parking space.I simply pulled out, it POPPED back and drove fine. What happened?Did he tighten the bearings too much?He assured me if he pulled them and saw metal he would suggest i replace them.assume they are(were) good.I also replaced the tires.Taking back 2mrw.

I was in my 2000 Dodge Caravan, just filled up, then went through a car wash. After I got out of the car wash, I noticed that my steering wheel was very tough to steer. Then my temp gage maximized. I had to stop. I popped the hood and I heard what sounded like boiling water. What is going on??

My brake light has been coming on and going off all week long. I started my car this evening to go home. When I stopped at a sign, I had to depress my brake all the way to the floor board before it even began to slow down. There has also been a strange sound for a few weeks when my car stops that sounds like something grinding. I have fairly new brakes and roders. What is the problem? Also, what else can I look forward to going wrong?

My car idles fine, until it is put in drive, then it starts shaking. If i put it in drive and apply the parking break, when i rev (still in drive) i can hear a tick tick tick from the transmission. when its in park, reverse or neutral there is no tick. Its a 1989 thunderbird. The fluid level is correct and was changed 8000 miles ago.

What might be the problem?

I have a 2006 Ford Mustang with Parchment colored interior. My dark blue jeans stained the side of my driver's seat and also the front part of the seat where my legs sit. I have no idea how to get this out, I have tried "Tough Stuff" to get it out and it actually made it look worse. Any suggestions on how to get this out would be appreciated.

My car in the last few days has been having the temperature guage inch towards hot, especially when idling. When I drive it goes back down again (and it has been freakin cold here lately). The fan needed replacing. I replaced the fan in total (casing, blade, motor, all of it) and the fan started working again. But it still runs towards hot. Could it be the thermostat or a fuse?

Since its turned cold(below 10 degrees) My car has been making a noise. Its a 2007 Cobalt, 1200 miles. When I hit a bump its making a sound that almost sounds like a scraping or grinding sound under the front left side. Otherwise the car drives great. No steering, braking, or starting problems. Could it be just the cold, or maybe something more serious? Any help would be appriciated.

OK I have used my car last two times (just travelling 3 miles not far) and I get home & it smells sort of like burning rubber under the hood. Also, I don't think the heater is working too well, maybe related or not? So what could this be? How do I know if I need coolant or not and does it go into the radiator? Or could there be a hose leak? Thank you!!!

Because I travel often, I sometimes leave my car in a garage or parking lot for weeks at a time. It might take me months to get to 30, 000 miles. Should I change my oil more often than that?

Live in midwest, bitterly cold. Trying to start 2005 Town and Country. Electrically everything works so battery seems sufficient. Engine would not turn over, starter just clicks. Checked anti-freeze and reserve bottle was bone dry. Some in actual radiator under cap. Does this mean there wasnt enough antifreeze to keep engine from freezing? Just had oil changed two days ago, and they said coolant was "full". No obvious leaks. Wondering if it was low to begin with and now froze up on me. Any ideas?

This -30 degree weather is horrendous, I wonder how these people still have cars here! My car is a eagle talon 1996. I don't want to crack the engine block. How cold does it have to be for oil to freeze? how about 80/90 gear oil and gasoline? What about brake fluid? And any tips on preserving the seals and gaskets ect would help! Can ice damage your rocker arms?
