Hi

For all of you who make reference to the OIL light, the OIL light is RED not ORANGE, and this is because once it comes on it is too late. We should NEVER wait until the oil light comes on before topping up the oil, because the oil light is NOT a level indicator, it is a PRESSURE indicator, and once it has illuminated it means that the oil pressure has dropped below 7ft/lb which is FATAL to an engine, especially an alloy engine.

The light in question, however, is ORANGE, and seeing as how it is not the engine management light, it is therefore simply saying that something needs topping up, either the coolant or the washer fluids at a guess, as a couple of sensible people have already said, and these are the ones you should take notice of.

You'll find the answer in the manual in your glove box. It'll be listed with the explanation's of all dash accessories and warning lights. My Toyota's got a shallow red can with a single drop at the end ( oil ) light1

of course, a call to your dealer before something expensive explodes would be smarter. Wow, the AU Toyota site is pretty gay, considering that us ignorant Westerners think you are all tough croc wrestling dudes. Go figure!

Your coolant level is low, check the coolant level in the overflow bottle, and add a 50/50 mix of coolant and water until the level is at the full cold line.
