yes it is ,i own a repair shop, and this will flood the valve body in it ,and also cause many leaks from a lot of seals on it,another thing it does it make it build up more pressure inside the transmission, and this also causes problems with it,depending on how much you have it over filled you might want to get it out,it will cause more problems than you want to have, right now i have a Chevy in the shop that was 2 quarts over full, and it blew ever seal and gasket on the transmission, but if you have too much you need to drain it ,it will make it go out, good luck,i hope this help,s.

It depends on what is too much a half of a quart probably not anymore than that yes. A good way to tell is if the transmission starts to slip or if you check the dipstick and its foamy.

If it is way over full then yes. If it is a small amount then no it won't hurt anything. I have seen new cars right off the truck a half inch above the full mark on the dipstick. Good luck

yes, too much fluid will aerate and foam, causing lack of lubrication flow as well as low pressure through the valve body to the apply clutches.

Yes, too much fluid can lead to foaming ( mix of air & air) this can actually cause less lubrication inside your tranmission.

I have always heard that, over fill may blow out gaskets, if the pressure is to greate.
What I have seen, is it will belch out the fill tube, and squirt all over the Mill.

Very bad most dip sticks tell you do not overfill! the reason is they will blow a seal or start leaking and not stop until fixed.
