About three days ago I was on my way home and my battery light came on. The lights got dim and the radio started flickering but did not go off completely. My battery is only like 3 months old and I was told that it is most likely the starter or the alternator. Can you please tell me how much it would cost to replace either of those? I have tried to start it since then but it just makes a very faint clicking. The radio and lights still work though. I am a girl who knows very little about cars so if my car won't start how will I get it to a mechanic? Can it be towed somewhere? Thanks in advance for all of your help.

Okay, I bought a 2003 Dodge Durango from a dealer about 6 months ago, and about 2 weeks ago my Durango died as I was waiting on a hill to go through a red light. When it came back on the Check Engine light came on, and it will die sometimes when I am driving, and when I was going to get on the interstate and I pushed the accelerator pretty hard it acted like I was red lining (I wasn't) and it started jerking. What does this mean, and what kind of $ am I looking at fixing this?

I am working on my friends 1985 Chevy caprice classic and I am cannot get vaccum diagrams, and emission control helps or hints other than changing the EGR valve and PCV valves in addition to the other well known fixes for emission control problems. I have replaced all vaccum lines but I fear I may have missed some. I am certain I have done the most common, well known things a person can do. I really need an emission control schematic, that includes specs. and troubleshooting. Thank You very Much if You can Help!!

Ok so the problem on my car is when my transmition changes gear when driving, my car doesnt accelerate anymore until i start pressing the gas peddle very hard. why is that?

I have a civic 92 lx automatic, D15b7 engine 1.5L. 4 door.

ok so when it changes gears, my RPM also goes down.what i mean by down, it stays down not accelarating. It doenst rev, so it cant really be the transmition. Because if it was, my engine would rev to a high rpm but it doesnt do that.

This 4 -popper has a little hiccup. Does anybody know why it would be hard starting after the engine is warm? Starts fine when cold and runs just fine.

My Toyota Corolla started having hard time to start pumping oil. I notice that every time I start engine it gets longer and longer for the oil pump to work untill it went dead totally. We tried to trace all possible causes but could not make it work again.

Could it be because oil is oozing out of the pump and it gets dry which is the reason for hadr sucktion? Could it also be the reason why it wont work because we installed it unlubricated again? What would expertyou suggest.

Why does a cars fan switch on (ie the engine fan)? for what reasons? I know its a simple question but im trying to get to the bottom of my car trouble. My car overheated and obviously the fan kicked in to cool the engine, but i have noticed it been on other times. is it usual for it to come on?

I recently had to do some work on my alternator.. because of this i had to take off my serpentine belt. and int turn my tensioner pulley.. i cant seem to get it back on.. i know that theres a spring in there some where.. but im not sure how to get this back on. HELP!

If you buy a set of Coilovers sleeves, should i buy a camber kit?
Or the Factory Camber would just do fine? and if I only bought the Coilover sleeves can i still adjust the wheel alignment of the car using the the factory camber? NOW IM CONFUSED!!!!

I think my heater core is broke. I started the car tonight and it started smoking. It was smoking on the outside under the hood and smoke was also coming in the inside of the car. I then started it like 5 minute later. The power steering isnt working. The car is overheating. And the radiator where u put the fluid in sounds like it is bubbling. Even after I turn off the car the radiator is sounding like it is bubbling. What is wrong with my car. What do i need to fix and how much will it cost

Hey Mates, I have a inline 6 cylinder Turbo diesel engine for my Toyota Land Cruiser 80 series. I've got 265,000++kms on it. Whats your best suggestion for engine addatives? Power up, slick 50 etc.
