I went for an oil change at a shop... but this idiot got his rag sucked up to my timing belt while trying to wipe the oil from the oil cap (where the dirty oil gets drained out during an oil change) with the rag. it wouldnt come out so he had to cut my one of the belts and damaged another belt from pulling on the rag for a good 10-15minutes trying to take it out... They said to come tomorrow because they had to replace 2 new belts now...

When I picked it up I didnt notice anything but when I began to drive, from 1500rpm it started to make rattling noises. It gets louder as I step on the gas pedal. so I called the shop and they didnt know what to say and told me to come by the next day...

Can this problem occur after changing a timing belt? or do you think they damaged other parts of my car from yanking the rag out? can somebody give me a advice or tip? btw, its a 97 Acrua 3.5RL.

THANKS!

Dropping about one quart of oil a month. Does not leak at all while engine is running and only leaks for a few moments after the car has been turned off.
Does anyone have suggestion as to where I can take my Maxima in the Kansas City, Missouri area, other than dealership, to get my Maxx worked on?
Someone reputable, reliable, great knowledge on foreign cars?
Thank you so much to everyone
TGS.

I own a 1994 ford thunderbired with rack and pinion steering that uses a EVO power assist unit.
I have full power steering from side to side ,but i have no return ,I have to manually turn the wheel back myself. I've had this problem for about 3 weeks ,but before that it would return to centre on its own ,would anyone know what would cause this prob ,and i have replaced the pump already.
Could it be the rack?

My '02 Ford Explorer XLS came with a remote that allows me to lock and unlock the doors remotely, the remote has a panic button and when I push it two time the lights blink and the horn sounds once but then if I unlock the door with the key and opening it while it's still "armed" it doesn't do anything...does this mean my car only has keyless entry with no alarm or is there a fuse or cable unplugged? I'v even tried going in the car, locking it with the remote and then opening the door, it still doesn't do anything...any ideas?

I don't know much about cars and when I got an oil change at Jiffy Lube, they said my car was due for this service. I said, no thanks, but now I'm wondering if this is something important.

When I first bought the car it was used and the airbag light kept going on, I was worried about this problem so I took it back to the dealers autorepair shop and they replaced some relay or something, but now it came back on. It flashes when I start it and either stays flashing or stays on the whole drive...is there anything I can do without having to take it to the dealer or autoshop? thanks

Hi everyone. I am a happy owner of Honda CR-V 1997. It used to give me around 28MPG on average. It suddenly went down to about 20MPG. What could be the reason? I know there could be a lot of factors but such a sudden drop? Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks.

First, the car started and moved about 10 feet and died. Then it wouldn't start again. I've replaced the battery and the Engine Control Module. When you turn on the ignition, all the lights emit on the dash, however when you try to crank it, there's nothing. I can cross-wire the starter and the car cranks fine, but it won't start even with the key in the on position. Seems like something is cutting out the power to the starter, and maybe the coils. I've checked all fuses and they are good and I've swapped all relays. I'm thinking the last thing it could be is the iginition switch....anyone else have any recommendations? Oh...it's a 1991 Olds 98 with the 3.8 V6.

please take time to read all this. the vehicle im talkin about is a 75 chevy truck. I parked the truck in late november due to carburator issues, and some other small problems. the thing is, whatever the carb was doin to make it not start I, whenver I'd shut it down and try to start it again I would have to crank on it for at least a minute or so. It has been sitting since novemb, now it wont start. when I turn the key all the way over to the starting position nothing happens, then when I let off a litte the engine turns over maybe one time for 1 or 2 seconds. battery is fully charged, headlights, signals, radio,cb EVERYthing inside works. so is it the starter or battery?

After we've driven our car parked and tried to start it again sometimes it will not start. It just clicks once when we turn the key. We tried to jump it but it didn't work. If you let it sit for a while it does start. It may not have anything to do with the weather but that seems to be what is happening. If it's cool in the am and warms up it does this.1998 sw2

Car has a new battery, new fuel filter, new distributer cap, new water pump, new timing belt...today it died while I was driving it, slowly losing power and would not start again.

I experienced something similar when a timing belt blew a few years ago, but in that case the engine didn't turn over at all. Now it is grinding like it wants to start but can't quite get there.

It has been not accelerating , feels like I am pulling a house and takes a while to get over 15 miles an hour from a dead stop. The mechanic couldn't find what was wrong with that but managed to find other stuff wrong to the tune of $800 in August.

The car is a 1993 Geo Metro. Don't laugh, it's beeen a great car, I bought it new. It was about 85,500 miles on it.

I really am not going to dump too much more $$ into it, but if you recognize what might be going on with the car and how much I am looking at to fix it, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

My husband and I bought a 1999 Ford Windstar in May of 2006, six days later it was in the shop because the check engine light came on. The dealership ( JD Byrider) "fixed" the problem. The check engine light came on again shorlty after. They have replaced the o2 sensor, the intake manifold, flushed the cooling system, checked the Serp belt, checked the anti freeze, checked the fuel pump, replaced the upper intake gasket, isolator bushings, valve cover, pcv hose, pressure regulator hose.
I still have the problem. We just had Ford do a diagnostic test on it, after I called Ford myself. It went back to JD Byrider and they still didn't fix it. I got my van back at 2pm yesterday and at 4pm the damn check engine light was on again!!

I called the service mgr, and he said to bring it in tomorrow. I then talked to the general mgr, and he was a prick!! Told me there is nothing more they can do. This van is under a extended warranty.

Does anyone have any ideas of what I can do?

The sunroof opens a little at a time. I push the switch and it will open an inch or so and stop. To open it fully, I have to do this repeatedly several times.

Any ideas on the problem and how to fix it?

It's been a great car (85,000 miles on it) and this is the first issue I've had with it.
