I have 2000 kia sephia. While i was driving engine light start flashing. When i stopped i also felt that car was shaking. Today i changed the Ignition coil. Looks like car stop shaking but engine light still on.

If you're sure you fixed the problem, then hook up an OBDII code reader to the DLC (Diagnostic Link Connector). You can then erase the code which will turn off the lamp.

While you have the code reader hooked up, make sure there are no other codes present before erasing them.

Go to your local parts store(Advance) and have them to clear out the trouble codes and reset your check engine light.If they cannot reset it then they can tell you what the uncleared codes are so you can get your car repaired.Do not try to remove the battery cable to reset this,this will only reset the ECM(electronic control module) to the factory default minimum performance levels.Trouble codes must be cleared electroniclly with a code reader,not by removing their power source.Advance does this for you at No Charge.This should solve your problem.

you might need to take it to the shop to get it reset my uncle is a mechanic and a lot of stuff I need done to my Kia(Sportage) he can't do at home because of the computer sensor. He says all new cars are getting this way.

Hopefully as with some cars,unhook battery for 15 minutes.Maybe it will reset computer.or go to autozone.

there still might be something wrong, take it to autozone and let them put the test monitor on your computer and find out for sure.
