other day but today when put into reverse the van moves back a couple of feet then stalls, thought it might be the gear box but its going into gear easy and not grinding or jumping out of gear,it feels like the brakes are on and appears to be moving to 1 side (brakes etc were put on the rear) is it possible for the brakes to be sticking on? and would that cause the trouble im having? if not any ideas what the problem is and how to solve it. thank you

I just bought this car and knew of the problem. I had the alternator checked and it was OK. I replaced the voltage regulator because I had the alternator our of the car. A schematic would make life easier. 228,000 miles on it.

My car is a 2004 Grand Prix GT2 3.8L 41000 miles
Whenever I accelerate My engine makes a whining sound, and it keeps getting louder until it shifts, then it starts over, just getting louder again until it shifts again. What could be causing this?

I loaned a customer money to buy a carand retained title as First Lien Holder. He damaged the transmission and had it repaired. The cost of repair exceeded the value of the car so he abandoned the car to the transmission repair company. The company is selling the car at auction. Who has first claim on the money received at the sale, the repair company or the first lien holder?

i store the winter car in my driveway from june to october maybe sometimes november, anyways its a 93 shadow, the battery died(new battery) how does this happen? and the cause? i started the engine up a few times in summer, but just tried yesterday and the battery is dead..........does batterys die cuz oflack of using or would something else be wrong, there iso nly 110kms on it and taken care of

I never really got into cars, but I am mechanically able.
I have a 2003 Toyota Tacoma 2WD 3.4 Liter.
I want to maintain it myslef because I can save money and because I want to be my own quality control.
I only want to keep in maintained, I plan to take it in for big repairs.
Can anybody tell me what sort of tools and things I should buy, inentory lists, or other advice?
