i have a crossed thread wheel nut on the drivers side of my car i have phoned around to get a new one but no were has any i was told that a wheel nut of a vw or a corsa would fit but im nut to sure so can any help

go to a good hardware shop, wont be pricey

lawnmowers also have cross thread nuts

if its a passat type skoda its very likely that a vw passat type would fit properly if its pre vw type skoda the wheel nuts will cost you more than the car is worth how did you manage to cross thread it in the first place ? certainly not if you put the nuts on by hand for the first few centimetres and then used a socket when you were sure the threads were properly engaged as is the correct way of doing the job bet you have F***** up the stud as well if so good luck you have another problem to fix and if you sort out the problem don,t forget to make sure you apply the correct amount of torque when you have finished the job have fun and good luck hope this helps u

Skoda, is almost identical to VW's as they are owned by the same automotive group. The only difference being a different body shell and badge. Depending on what model your Skoda is, a VW wheel nut will most probably fit. If your Skoda is a small hatchback, then a VW Polo or Golf nut will fit or if it''s an estate then look for a VW Passat.
