check your rubber molding around your door, make sure it is in it's appropriate spot. If it is still attached correctly and there appears to be no damage, try using son a gun or even wd-40.

The molding between the car body and the door is probably dry rotted or cracked. Open the door and feel along the rubber foam and see if you can feel any loose or torn parts. If it is you can either order another piece from a local dealer or from the JC Whitney catalog. For now you could try some electricians tape to hold it in place. Most glues will eat up the foam and water based glues like elmers will run when water leaks in. Be careful if you use molding from a differant type of car because if its bigger you could bend the window frame when you shut the door

When its a dry sunny day....first turn the hose for a couple minutes on the windshield...look inside for a windshield leak...then turn the hose on the driver door...check inside....then the other doors and windows each separately....you should soon find the problem...if you recently had an accident on a door, check that first... if the car is old, its probably a seal and you can buy a repair kit or seal kit from the dealer! Also don't forget to check the trunk!!! Good luck! If the car rug is musty or moldy, spray with lysol spray! That really helps!

1) Check the door hinges to see how worn they are,(open the door and lift it to see how much it moves). The driver's door is the most used door, hence the hinges wear out faster. If the door doesn't shut properly, new weatherstripping will be to no avail! But more than likely,( as has already been answered,) the weatherstrip. is Shot! This also received more wear,(drivers door). I would recommend shopping around for the weatherstrip., as dealers tend to be real expensive! DON'T use silicone, or some other crap on the old W.Strip., as this DOES not help,(no matter what your friend's say,ha!). But for the door seal I'd say you're lookin' at 50 bucks or so.

Could be the weatherstripping around the door or around the windshield. Are you sure it only happens when it rains? Do you have a burn smell inside the car? Usually at this time of year the heater cores begin to leak and they are located at the feet of the passenger side compartment. Check the carpeting, see if it is a bit damp or sticky feel to it. If so, smell the fluid, it probably is the heater core leaking coolant.
good luck

My 2000 Grand Prix GTP had the same problem on the passenger side. Turns out the bottom of the windshield was'nt sealed properly at the factory. I also saw a Grand Am at my buddies shop that had a hole on top of the fire wall which was letting water in.
