OK, I know I should've stopped going to them after Nissan screwed up my Nissan once. The first time, I had a '01 Nissan Sentra. I went for a simple oil change.. and they didn't tighten the cap back on tight enough. I did not even realize this until one of my hour drives.. when my car died on me... and my engine also died. So we had to get a new engine and after that, the check engine soon light came on and they keep wanting to charge us more for service. Then, when I got my '01 Nissan Maxima, I had issues with the brakes a year later.. which is generally when brakes need to be changed. Anyway, they changed brakes and the oil and some other things... and it all costed $1,000!!! That's really pricey for brakes. Then my car recently had issues with funny noises.. right after they had supposedly fixed my car. Well now, they want to charge another $935 or maybe even $1,800 if what they replace the first time isn't good enough. Supposedly it is something to do with motor mounts. GAH

around the affordables i can afford, i choose these two cars and cant choose wich one to buy..
I like altima because of its casual looks but
i like civic si for its trendy looks and its power
can you guys help me from your view what car you'll get?

I am more thinking about altima because honda seems kinda cheapish,,,,
but civic has more cool features

i have a problem with the remote keyless entry system (RKE) it is not working does anybody know if u can program them manually i dont want to take it to nissan they just want your money for 5 minutes work , i dont know if the problem is the remote itself or the transmitter either way can someone help me

i have a 2002 nissan altima 2.5SL and the car will run/idle for a minute or two and shut off, run/idle for a minute or two and shut off again. the mechanic says it may be an idle control sensor, but i can't seem to find one anywhere, so if anyone has any idea to what the problem might be please help me, it would be most helpful.

So, my beloved 1993 Nissan 240SX SE Hatch has finally given up the ghost after 245K miles on the original engine. I've owned it since new and loved every minute of it, but I believe that it might just be time to put it out to stud. Question is, should I? There aren't too many simple, lightweight rear wheel drive coupes out there, and certainly not many with such a distinctive bodystyle. Plus, other than the engine being broken, the car has hardly a few faults with the body, interior or electrical systems.

As such, I've contemplated replacing the engine with a rebuilt engine... perhaps even buying a Japanese SR20DET for a little power boost. Question is, how difficult are those to install by a shop? Where does one purchase such an engine? What parts and accessories does one need to buy alongside it? Best yet, is this even a good idea from the start?

PS: Serious answers only, please. I don't want kids with SuperStreet subscriptions giving me advice about cars they've never touched.

I recently bought a Nissan Versa. I am going to trade in this car 2-3 years from now ( my actual contract is $260/72 mo including GAP insurance ).
I am wondering if, knowing that I will trade in this car should I pay more that the monthly bill on the car?
Will that make a difference on the value of my trade in if I have pay a lot on the car already?
Bcz if it does not make a difference I might as well just stick with my regular payments and not put more money toward the principal.
