Bad flasher unit under the dash in the fuse box? (round silver or red thing.)

Do you emergency flashers work? If not, it's the flasher.
If they do work, it's a bad turn signal switch.

Does your 4 way flashers work(doesn't matter whether the key is in the ignition or not)? If they don't, you can pretty well be assured that the flasher unit itself is dead and needs replacing.
