Nissasn 200sx Keyless Entry Not Working?

i have a problem with the remote keyless entry system (RKE) it is not working does anybody know if u can program them manually i dont want to take it to nissan they just want your money for 5 minutes work , i dont know if the problem is the remote itself or the transmitter either way can someone help me

Keyless entry box is located under the seat 1990 and eariler. under the paper lable is a yellow button push and hold hear the confirmation tone and push a button on the remote another tone and your done another remote do it also. lights flash and horn on lock up. Please include the year in your question. Then I can be more specific. If you were to buy a remote at most dealerships you could talk some one into program it for free. Remotes are expensive
