Genysis datastream shows ASD ON/OFF momentarily while engine is cranking, but stays in OFF position after extended cranking. No fire at plugs, fuel pump is ON. THEFT ALARM comes on also, after extended cranking. Please help. Very nice car, wife very angry. ( I work at a mechanic shop, and have access to diagnostic equipment, but I am stumped. The thing has a long list of TSB's. Ran fine up until 3 mos ago)

While driving home yesterday turned on the lights and noticed the dash and headlights getting dim then the truck cut off. Couldnt restart battery was dead. Got a jump and made it to the parts store tested and said it was the alternator so replaced that charged the battery. But its still doing the same thing. Will run for about 20 mins then shuts off? The battery, rotor,cap,plugs and wires are all new and a volt regulator. Any idea what cld cause this? Coil maybe? any help greatly appreiciated!

I am trying to find a new blower motor resistor for my 1984 Dodge D150 with a 318 and a/c. I am not having any luck. I dont really want to go to the dealer or the junkyard any suggestions on where i could find a new one. Thank you.

Considering the 97 Dodge Ram intake pulls from the left fender and it's almost truely cold air, will just adding a K&N filter to my stock filter box be worth it or should I just stay with the typical Fram/Purolator? I mean I know it's not going to be like adding a complete cold air intake but will it change any specs hp,tq or mileage wise?

My sons 2000 dodge neon won't move. I can start it and put it in gear, and it will go forward about 2 feet or backward about 2 feet, but there is noise coming from the rear of the car. No problem getting it in gear. He thought it was transmission, but I think it has something to do with the brakes or back axle. The emergency brake is off. Any ideas?

can a bad Air Charge Temp and MAP sensor cause power loss or loss of vacuum.

also i installed a tac because my 1995 manual trans dodge dakota did not have an rpm gauge, and we had to tap into the crank position sensor. could this cause problems.

i have already changed out most of the sensors because its 12 years old and nothing has ever really been done to it beside the head and basic maint.

I have a 96 dodge ram 1500 pickup with a elgtran remote start when the previous owner hooked it up he only hooked up the remote start and not the keyless entry how do i hook it up I do know that there is a box under the dash with 16 pins in it 8 on top and 8 on bottom my friend told me that i had to ground two pins together but dont know wich two.

My 1997 Ram V6 has a slow shift, and sometimes downshifts while accelerating, causing the engine to rev high, but with little to no increase in speed. Is there a fix? Also, does anybody have any other ideas for improving the performance of this engine? The engine has about 90k, and the truck is in real nice shape (and paid for), so I don’t want to start over.

My remote starter control unit no longer functions on my 1997 Dodge Caravan. It's about 7 yrs old and the green confirmation light stays on all the time. Just wondering if removing and replacing the 2 push button pads (de & resoldering) would solve this problem. Any thoughts ? Thanks in advance.

I went to a gas station that had bad gas. The gas was mixed with water. My van cut off and wouldn't start. I drained the gas out and put in some new gas. Then i started it and it didn't start it just keept making sounds like it was trying to start but couldn't. Then i took it apart and added some starting fluid and it started then shut down like five minutes later. Then when it was shutting down it started puttin. How do i make it start and stay started.

I have a rusted freeze plug that sits on the cylinder head behind the exhaust mainfold, which means they will have to take the engine out to change the plug. Funny- a $10 plug costs almost $1000 in labor.

Anyway, I heard Bares Stop Leak might work, but I was wondering how feasible it would be to use if any have tried it in a similar situation.

I have a 1998 dodge ram 1500 SLT Laramie 5.2L. I need to replace my water pump. I need to get the fan clutch off and I rented a fan cluch remover from AutoZone but I have a press on pulley so it will not work? Can you help me? This is my only transportation as of right now. My husband totaled out his car last week, thanks the the stupid deer, and now the truck needs a new water pump and I cant even get the old one off to replace it...lol! Please help this poor woman!
