I have a 96 dodge ram 1500 pickup with a elgtran remote start when the previous owner hooked it up he only hooked up the remote start and not the keyless entry how do i hook it up I do know that there is a box under the dash with 16 pins in it 8 on top and 8 on bottom my friend told me that i had to ground two pins together but dont know wich two.

If you aren't the technical sort of person, truth is you best get someone who is, you will probably fry your vehicles circuitry.
I purchased one of these, came with a video and good instructions, it went pretty well, they also had a good tech support. This doesn't happen when you buy it from some guy in a bar, with the make and model number you can probably download pictures and instructions.

i own a repair shop,and you need a instruction sheet for it,,all of these systems have different color codes on them for this,,hook the wrong wires up,and it may mess up something else,i always use the sheet,,you might be able to get a instruction sheet on line for this system i have done it before,,good luck ,hope this help,s.,,ave a good x-mas.

my advise is to go to the library ,look up RKE module, I'm not sure on that model if its behind your instrument cluster or under your lower sill . I know on the newer models they have to be programed but i think yours does not.I work at Warren Truck and that's our product so good luck.
